Ziploc bag Ice Cream!

Something I remembered from when I was a kid was making ice cream in a ziploc bag. So I looked it up and made some with my 4 year old. It's a fun activity for those hot summer days and you get yummy ice cream in the end!

First off you need:
1 Gallon bag
1 Pint or Quart size bag
6 Tblsp Rock salt
Ice (enough to fill the gallon size bag)

Ingredients:
1/2 Cup Heavy whipping cream (or milk/half and half)
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 Tblsp sugar (or to taste)

Put milk, vanilla and sugar into a pint or quart-sized freezer bag. Seal well. Fill a large, gallon-sized freezer bag with ice. Add the salt. Put the smaller bag into the larger bag and seal.
Shake and mix until the ice cream thickens, about 10 minutes.

We did chocolate ice cream and just added a little chocolate syrup to it. Just shake (or the kids can throw it back and forth to each other) and done!
